Care Guide: Tents

To prolong the life of your tent, you need to clean it after use and learn to store it correctly. Before putting it away, check for any damage – like broken zippers, rusted or broken poles, fabric tears, holes, pulled seams or mould. Check your warranty to see if the repairs are covered and then take it to your nearest store. After inspecting the tent, give it a clean with a sponge or dishtowel and some soapy, lukewarm water. Don’t soak or machine-wash. Let it dry properly in a shaded area (not in direct sunlight) before packing it away in a cool, dry place, or else it will contribute to mould. Mould can penetrate the coating and destroy the fabric. If there’s mould, clean it off immediately with an antibacterial cleaner, and leave a solution of one cup salt, one cup lemon juice in 4 litres of hot water to dry on the spot.

For the class and price, this tent is great. We've been in torrential down pour without a hint of leak. Served us absolutely great. Expecting the first kid so need to look at upgrading to the 6 person to make space for baby stuff. . Posted on 10/15/2015

Being constantly in bush, i have many different tents. This tent is fairly suitable for the average camper/hiker. The pros its quick & easy to set up and now the cons the entrance is miserable any one with back problems please avoid this tent, the design is terrible, Its actually perfect for a 1 person. No vestibule to store your gear. The tent is cold make sure you have a good sleeping bag on those cold nights. The stakes given are basically good for single use.

Overall its a basic tent and definitely cannot compete with the north face tents. A better design off the fly sheet could make this tent a little above average.. Posted on 8/27/2014

I found the Panorama tent to be ideal for a weekend getaway as it is very quick to set up. I will also recommend it for Summer getaways. Consider a heavier duty tent for those colder nights or mornings as it is relatively cold.. Posted on 8/27/2014
