Show us your amazing talent and your entry could be chosen to be showcased at the one of the largest film festivals in the world, the BANFF Centre Mountain Film Festival!

What is the Adventure Film Challenge?
The Adventure Film Challenge was founded by Cape Union Mart to showcase the best adventure films South Africa had to offer and help to shine a spotlight on, and to encourage aspiring and established film makers to gear up and explore our natural landscapes.
What is the Prize?
The professional film every year will win R10 000 in cash and R5 000 in vouchers while aspiring filmmakers are vying for R5 000 worth of gear. The winning films will also have opportunity to be featured in the BANFF Centre Film Festival screened in South Africa.
What should the film be about?
The clue is in the name! Send us a film capturing your most epic adventure in the outdoors.
How long should the film be?
It should be no longer than 300 seconds (5 minutes).
What should the resolution be?
In order to be suitable for cinemas it should preferably be shot at HDTV resolution (1920 x 1080) at either 25 or 50 fps.
How do you enter?
Upload your video to Youtube and send us your name, contact details and a link to your video.
When is the submission date?
Please submit your films by 12:00, Monday 31 July 2023.
Who will select the winner?
The winner is selected by an external panel of judges who are involved in the outdoor film scene in South Africa.
